Introduction

†The following is from an aborted book project, I have decided to go with a different direction and my monastic path demands other priorities. That being said I am going to be returning to work on this blog soon. Please enjoy the following writings until that time. Mother Chaos kisses our brows.

What you hold in your hands is a bad thing, put it down and walk away.

Still here? No really this is a weapon crafted with Black Magic and Mad Science designed to change the way you think. At best you begin to think for yourself, yes I am going to brainwash you into self awareness. At it’s worst this Irreligious Anarchistic Tome of Parables will lead to madness and steal your joy. You may think you can just walk away now, but it’s already too late, the spell has begun to take hold of your soul.

Don’t you love books with introductions like this? I mean obviously you do or else you would have set the book down by now. Little secret, I love them too, because words are magical. Used in the proper context and according to certain formulas, words become spells. This book is a testament to that fact.

This book is also an origin story of how a homeless mutant mage, became a Munk uv Xaos and founded the Temple uv Xaos, an ongoing spiritual performance art piece happening in abstract time. If you read the last sentence without question then the spell has begun.

This book is more travelogue than grimoire although it functions as both and neither, as if it were a self cancelling tesselation.

All of that is irrelevant to the actual purpose of this work. There are two tribes that exist in a college town, one consists of college students and the other of homeless people who camp in the Wal-Mart parking lot. The tribe of students are learning that not all wisdom comes from books. The other tribe is learning from the Black Drink, a North American Ayahuasca Analog. This is not their story. This is the story of the Mutant Mage that connects them. He is a strange, gregarious curmudgeon of a man, some say he is quite mad. Others call him a con man because his charm, like his smell, is overwhelming. He is, in fact a Munk uv Xaos, of the Temple uv Xaos. He was ordained so by a Priestess of Hekate, while online, as is fitting to our times. I know his story, because it is my story. Now, let me tell you about my abduction. . .,
